Edward W. Walls

Bangor – Edward W. Walls, 88, husband of Jessie (Brown) Walls, died May 11, 2017 in Bangor after a lengthy illness. He was born Mar. 21, 1929 in Northeast Harbor, the son of Arthur D. and Abbie G. (Stanley) Walls. Edward was a US Army veteran of the Korean War serving in Germany and he worked at Brown & White Paper Co. in Bangor for 33 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family at camp on Holbrook Pond.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 62 years are his daughter, Denise Tuller and Chris Priest of Holden; three grandchildren, Melissa Engeseth of Colorado Springs, CO, Edward Spencer of Hermon and Amanda Hallett and her husband, Jhon of Holden; six great grandchildren, Erick, Hannah and Aiden Engeseth, Isaac, Anna and Maxwell Hallett; one sister, Verlie Bowden of Yarmouth; several nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his cat Gabby.  He was predeceased by his parents, his daughter, Debra Spencer in 2007, his son, Dana Walls in 2009, his brother, Stanley Walls and his sister, Eleanor Damon.

Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 B Mt. Hope Ave, Bangor, ME  04401 or to the Maine Veterans Home, Activity Fund, 44 Hogan Road, Bangor, ME  04401. Arrangements are trusted to Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor.
