James D. LeGuff, Jr.

Bangor - Our Earthly angel James David LeGuff Jr  born February 10, 1953 entered Heaven’s gates after a courageous yet brief illness on Monday March 12 at the age of 65. James is predeceased by his parents James and Lura (Inman) LeGuff, and his nephew David Eugene Cyr. Jimmy is survived by his loving sister Gloria Cyr of Bangor who was his lifelong caretaker. Also surviving is his nephew Matthew Cyr of Bucksport- his children Gabrielle, Jack, and Gunner; Michael Cyr and his wife Jennifer of Mount Ephraim, New Jersey and their children Zachery, Hannah, and Cooper. He also leaves behind special friends Maureen Cormier; John and Laurie Karnes and their children Jesse, Maggie, and Collin, Diane and Gerry Roy as well as numerous loving relatives and friends.

Jimmy loved music and dancing and was an avid Elvis fan. He was a fierce competitor with all card and board games. As a young man, Jimmy worked at the Bangor Federal Building and was most popular for his easy smile and great hugs that he gave freely to all he met. He recently attended the Ralph Leeks Elders Program at Amicus in Bangor where he loved going everyday.
Gloria would like all contributions to be made to Amicus/ RLE program at 96 13th Street, Bangor, Maine 04401. A graveside service will be held 11 AM Friday, July 6, 2018 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor. Those attending may meet at the cemetery office, State St.. entrance at 10:45 AM. Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, Bangor and Brewer is trusted with arrangements.
