Avery A. Boudreau Orrington – Avery A. Boudreau, 81, husband of Reina A. Boudreau, died June 2, 2016 in Bangor surrounded by his family. He was born Apr. 21, 1935 in Bangor, the son of Francis J. and Hazel G. (Bryant) Boudreau. Avery served 4 years with the Marine Corps and served 16 years with the Air Force working as a dog handler and a marksmanship instructor retiring in 1973. He also played baseball during his high school years and Air Force service. Avery had many lifelong enjoyments that include hunting, playing and watching sports, recreational scuba diving and riding his motorcycle. He travelled extensively throughout his military career and during his retirement he traveled throughout the southern portion of the country from Florida to Arizona. He dearly loved his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4527 in Orrington and served as Commander. A member of the Marine Corps League , Greater Bangor Area DET. 1151. A Life Member of The American Legion, Post 197. He is survived by his wife, Reina Boudreau of Orrington; one daughter, Vicki Turner and her husband, Philip Philbrick of Hampton Falls, NH. Their children Bradley Avery Turner and wife Becky of Middleton, NH, Gregory Turner of Dover, NH, and Marcy Lizotte and her husband John of North Hampton, NH. Great Grandchildren, Alexis, Noah Madelyn, Julianna, Keegan and Brody. His Stepchildren, Bob Mitchell and his wife, Helen Temple of Marion, MA and their children Erika, Jackson, and Elizabeth (Libbey), Randy Mitchell and his wife, Lori of Augusta, and their children Christopher, Erica and Jessica. Roxanne Germain her husband, David of Alford, MA and their children Lauren, Hannah and Marina. Roger Mitchell and his wife, Karen of Warren; and their children, Jared, Christopher, Holy, Josh, Zach, Erik and Graci. Great Grandchildren; Dominic, Aiden, Matthew, Thomas, Elliott, Kaitlin, Killian, Olivia, Rexlee, Everly Alyssa; One brother, Francis J. Boudreau and his wife, Virginia of Clinton; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and three siblings, Frederick, Aubrey ad Bryant. A service honoring and celebrating Avery’s life will be held 11 AM Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at East Orrington Congregational Church, Johnson Mill Road, Orrington with Rev. Carl Schreiber, pastor, presiding. A gathering time will be held immediately afterward in the church reception hall. Burial with military honors will be held 12 PM Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta.
