So sorry to hear of her passing. I worked with Teresa at the EMMC/Husson School of nursing. She was wonderful to work with and always had the best attitude. She will be sorely missed.

Oh Susan, I am so sorry to read of your mom’s passing. Your mom’s warmth and strength was inspiring to me. As a “late blooming” nurse, I was honored and humbled to provide care to your mom and dad. Even on our last visit, your mom gave me advice and encouragement with my plans, and said, “tell them I sent you”. That stamp of approval from such a leader in nursing, meant everything to me. You, your dad, and your sister, are all in my thoughts and prayers! What a tremendous loss, but a life well-lived. Your mom was a class act!

I am so saddened to hear of Teresa's passing. To me she was someone who you believed would be here forever. She was such a class act to follow not only as a nurse but also as a person. She personified kindness at its best. I witnessed the room lighting up when she entered and the feeling that you all mattered. I was honored to be one of her students in the Master's program and appreciated all the hard work she did to provide this opportunity for me. It has to be heartbreaking for her family and my heart goes out to all of you. Joyce Petrosky, PMHNP

My condolences to Teresa’s family. She was a wonderful teacher and mentor. She was so caring to all and inclusive of all. She will be missed but never forgotten. She made a lasting mark on nursing, especially at Husson University.

My heart goes out to Teresa’s family. My husband and I and a group of friends met every year on New Years Eve to celebrate at Walt and Judy Luro’s house. Theresa and Ernie were in the assemblage . Teresa would just shake her head at Ernie’s shenanigans. What a wonderful pair. Teresa was a wonderful lady and will be missed by anyone who knew her. Kathy Anderson

Q: How did you meet Teresa? A: Teresa was the first friend I made when I moved to Maine in 1983. We quickly became kindred spirits and shared many years of teaching together in the Husson /EMMC Nursing program. We traveled to many conferences together and enjoyed adventures around the country. She and her husband, Ernie ( big bucks) became family friends and were sponsors for Ralph and my 2 children, Vanessa and Tristan for their Confirmations. Teresa and Ernie were our second family and Teresa was my best friend forever. She was a mentor, supervisor and boss as well as a soul mate.I treasure our friendship and will miss her immensely. But I know she's in heaven and is praying for all of us. God Speed, Teresa! Love you always, Nancy, Ralph, Vanessa, Tristan, Matthew and Megan.

Dear Family, I first met Teresa years ago when I moved back to Bangor from Boston and became a Pediatric nurse at EMMC. During my long career , I fortunately met many nursing instuctors. Teresa was one who stood out as probably the nicest, kindest nurse instructor any school could have. Years later I would get to see her at the John Bapst Reunions that were held at the Sea Dog during the Folk Festival. She and I would catch up on all the latest adventures and Ernie would be there as well. I remember that she some how never aged. She was one who kept her beautiful appearance thru all these years. I could go on and on about your special mother and wife. She really did seem to be St Teresa to so many people. She will be missed. My deepest sympathy, Patti Martin
