Isabelle M McInnis

Bangor and Old Town-- Our beloved mother has joined her husband and our Lord on March 26. Mom was born in Old Town (French Island) on May 6, 1925, and graduated from Old Town High School.  There she met her husband Thomas and they were happily married for over 60 years. Tom and Isabelle attended St. John’s Catholic Church in Bangor for their entire married life and had their four children baptized there as well.

Mom was famous for her knitting, especially those beautiful sweaters she made for all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As her sight began to fail she would knit mittens for the Attic, a support store for the benefit of All Saints Catholic School.  Mom will be sorely missed but we know that she is in a much better place with eyes that can see and legs that work properly. No doubt she and Dad are having a slow dance to "Let Me Call You Sweetheart".

She was predeceased by her husband Thomas; parents Ida and Louis Ouellette; brothers Francis Thibodeau and Louis Jr.; sister Rita Pelletier. Isabelle is survived by her children Donna (McInnis) Giles and husband Richard, Michael McInnis and wife Sandra, Janice (McInnis) Grenier and husband Willie and Judy (McInnis) Fessenden and husband Richard; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren. All loved their Grammy/Nanabell and have many fond memories to carry forward with treasured pictures and videos.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Attic, 54 Cumberland St., Bangor.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM, Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John's Church, 217 York St., Bangor.
