Frances E. Achorn, 91, wife of the late John E. Achorn, died peacefully Feb. 5, 2025 in Bangor after a brief illness. She was born Nov. 22, 1933 in Brewer, the daughter of Ralph J. and Annie R. (Taylor) Mayo

Frances was a communicant and long-standing member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Surviving are her children, Stephen and his wife, Maryann of Tujunga, CA, Timothy and his wife, Kim of Brewer, John and his wife, Sharon of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren, Kristin Fortin and her husband, Richard, Nathanial and his wife, Tonya, Jason Achorn,  Eric Achorn, Jessica Achorn, Lauren Restaino and her husband, Stephen, Peter Achorn and his wife, Emily and Joshua Achorn; great grandchildren, Andrew, Ethan, Calvin, Thomas, Charlotte, Ari and Ada Louise; many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Family and friends may visit 4 – 7 pm Friday, February 28, 2025 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 PM Saturday, March 1, 2025 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church, 531 No. Main St., Brewer. Burial will be at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Parish, 207 York Street, Bangor, ME 04401.
