Nora M. Audet, 85, died February 26, 2025 in Brewer. She was born March 27, 1939 in Caribou, the youngest daughter of Louis and Cecile (Raymond) Audet.

Growing up in Portland, Maine in a large family of 12 siblings, Nora graduated from Portland High School and worked as a sales clerk in a Portland, Maine department stores and started her lifelong career at JC Penney, first in Newburgh, New York and later in Bangor, Maine until retiring at the end of her career. During retirement, Nora still loved fashion and curating the right outfits for herself and enjoyed doing this for her youngest granddaughter, Lilyana, to whom she devoted much time from her birth until she was in grade school. Even during her nursing home stay, she liked to give fashion advice and often tried to “manage” her nurses. She very much enjoyed thrift shopping, cooking for BBQs, tending to her yard, playing Mahjong, hiding from getting her photo taken, laughing, watching her “shows” and a simple vanilla ice cream cone.

Surviving are one son, Philip Audet of Brewer; three grandchildren, Kyle Audet, Klarissa Quigley and Lily Quigley; her big sister, Rose Weglinski with whom she was extremely close and a couple more siblings and a few dear friends.
