Obituary of Elizabeth A. MacDonald

Elizabeth “Liz” A. (Millett) MacDonald, 80, of Orrington, passed away on April 11, 2025 in Bangor.

Liz was born in Bangor, Maine to F. Everett Millett and Mary (Maura) (Kiely) Millett on April 20, 1944. She graduated from John Bapst High School in 1962.  After working for various businesses, she spent many years as a dedicated housewife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and reading.  Her greatest loves were her children and grandchildren whom she spent many hours with.

Liz is survived by her loving husband, Ernest of Orrington, her son Ryan and partner Jody of Readfield, her grandchildren Kiely, Delanie, Kerrigan, Katelynn, and Alex, siblings John Millett of Bangor, M. Mary Cormier and her husband Raymond of Hampden, Jerome Millett and his wife Sharon of Auburn, sister-in-law Mary Violette of Connecticut, brother-in-law Tony MacDonald and his wife Bernice of Orrington, many cousins, nieces and nephews, and special lifelong friend, Gayle Trafton of Lincoln. She is preceded in death by her parents, beloved son Shawn A. MacDonald and brother Robert Millett. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday, April 21, 2025 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, So. Main St., Brewer. Burial will be a later in the spring in Orrington and a reception time will immediately follow. Messages and memories may be shared with her family on the tribute wall of kileyandfoley.com.
