It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Anna Marie Roberts, age 65 of Calais, Maine. Anna was born on March 9, 1960, to Earnst and Mae Vass.

She had several obstacles to overcome in her lifetime. She battled through them like a true survivor. She had a servant’s heart. It was her passion to help others, no matter what the cost was to her. She loved and she loved hard. She shared the same love and passion for animals as she did people. That love was 10 x’s greater for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Anna was predeceased by:

Her Father Earnest Vass, her Mother Mae Vass, her Grandsons Kole Chieppa and William Chieppa along with her Sister Sharon Welch.

She is survived by:

Her children: Lisa Smith, Melissa Chieppa and Gary Chieppa

Her grandchildren: Kalon, Nikki, Alyssa, Braden, Skylar, Aryana, Chase, Kayleigh, Madelynn, Brynlee, Logan and Nicholas.

Her great grandchildren: Ky’onna and Presley

Her siblings: Tommy Vass, Diana Shaffer and Dolores Brazile

Her boyfriend: Duane McKeown

A Celebration of life will take place on June 14, 2025 @ 3:00 pm.
