Kathleen (Cathy) D Turner Obituary

Cathy (Gallant) Turner, 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Brewer Center for Health & Rehabilitation following a short battle with cancer.


 


Cathy was born on February 16, 1946, and was the daughter of the late Albert and Katherine Gallant. She grew up in the Bangor, Maine, area and, following her marriage to her husband, Todd P. Turner, she moved to Connecticut where they raised their family and were actively involved in their local church. Cathy moved back to Maine full-time with her husband in 2004.  They were married 62 years. She spent her years as a housewife caring for her family, a Sunday school teacher, and a driver for the senior bus in Windsor Locks, CT. She was best known for her desire to help people when in need, whether it be a ride somewhere or a homecooked meal.


 


Cathy is survived by many loved ones including her husband, Todd; their two children Tracy Turner Burgason and husband David, and Todd Turner and wife Karen; four much loved grandchildren Carli Burgason Mooney (spouse Jeff), Nicole Turner Foss (spouse Brandon), Michael Burgason (spouse Anastasia), and Justin Turner (spouse Holly); much adored great-grandchildren with another one on the way: Raegan, Lukas, Caden, Carter, and baby girl Mooney; sister, Rita Scagliarini and partner, Larry Davis; brother, Donnie and wife, Karen; sister-in-law, Barbara.  She was predeceased by her brother, Albert Gallant and wife, Alice; brother, Kenny Gallant and wife, Sylvia; brother, Bud Gallant; brother-in-law, Romeo Scagliarini.


 


The family wishes to thank Bristol Hospice and her nurse, Melissa, for the care they provided for Cathy over the past month.


 


In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to Camp Northfield, 96 Wanamaker Road, Northfield, MA 01360.


 


Family and friends are invited to visit 4-6 P.M., Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer. A private graveside service for family will be held at a later date.  Messages and memories may be shared with the family at kileyandfoley.com
