Albert Colby Palmer Obituary

Albert Colby Palmer 88, passed away on January 9, 2026.  He was the son of Frank and Marion (McKay) Palmer.  He was predeceased by sisters, Marion Higgins, Dorothy Boudreau, and brother, William Palmer, and is survived by sister, Margaret Brewer.

Colby was born on August 24, 1937.  He graduated from Carmel High School.  He never missed a day of school from the beginning to the end.  He worked for many years and retired from the Bangor Water District.

He spent many hours on Ash Hill building and maintaining his hunting camp and keeping the fields mowed and roads clear.  He would stay at the cabin the whole month of November.  He found the view from Ash Hill very relaxing and rejuvenating.  On a clear day you could see the radar domes in Charleston.

He entered the Fraternity as an Entered Apprentice on 6/13/1984, was passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on 8/8/1984, and raised to the sublime Degree of a Master Mason on 10/17/1984. He joined Anah Shriners in 1985 and was a member of the Anah Funsters Unit and wore the Chip Chipmunk costume.

Colby was very helpful with lodge suppers and projects around the lodge.  He was proud of his membership in the Masons and very proud of The Shriners Hospital and its service to children and their families.

Colby was buried privately in Carmel.
