Michael A. DeVeau, Sr., 69, passed away at his home on March 9, 2026, after a long battle with cancer.  He was born in Bangor April 4, 1956, the son of Donald and Virginia (Waddell) DeVeau.

Michael graduated from Bangor High School and EMVTI.  He worked at his father’s car dealership before a long career at Varney’s, first in sales and then the service department.  Michael had a passion for anything with an engine.  He especially enjoyed fast cars and snowmobiling with his family and friends.

He was predeceased by paternal grandparents George A. and Mary DeVeau; maternal grandparents Ottie and Eva Waddell; father Donald DeVeau; sister Cindy DeVeau; sons Jonathan and Daniel DeVeau.  Michael is survived by mother Virginia DeVeau of Bangor; son Michael DeVeau and fiancé Kaitlyn Cameron, and her sons Grant and Parker, of Bangor; sister Linda McNally and husband David McNally, Jr. of Brewer; grandson Jonathan DeVeau, Jr. of Allagash; nephews David McNally, Jr. of New York and Josh McNally of Brewer, and their families; partner Kathy Gray and son Shawn Gray of Brewer.
