Jocelyn Denise Dusablon Obituary
Jocelyn Denise (Plamondon) Dusablon, 55, of Bangor passed away surrounded by her family on March 7, 2026, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. She was born in Biddeford Maine on April 8, 1970, the daughter of Richard and Gabrielle (Pageau) Plamondon.
Jocelyn was educated at Notre Dame de Lourdes School and attended Thornton Academy in Saco. She obtained a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in speech pathology from Boston University. Jocelyn married her husband Nathan Dusablon on October 18, 1997 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Bangor. They had four children, Andrew, Lindsay, Luke and Marc. She was employed by Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center as a pediatric speech pathologist from 1995 - 2023. She had a great passion for her work, and made a lasting impact on her patients and their families as she worked to give so many children a voice.
Jocelyn was an active and faithful member of St. Paul the Apostle Parish. Her example of faith and trust in God was inspiring to everyone she encountered. Some of her hobbies included knitting, cooking, and scrapbooking. Among the many things she loved were lilacs, chocolate, Maine beaches, seafood, and the movie It’s a Wonderful Life. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her selflessness, patience, warm smile, and her very deep love for her family and friends.
She is predeceased by her mother, Gabrielle (Pageau) Plamondon. Jocelyn is survived by her husband, Nathan Dusablon (54) and her children Andrew Dusablon (27), Lindsay Dusablon (26), Luke Dusablon (19), and Marc Dusablon (18); her father, Richard Plamondon (91); her brother, William Plamondon (58) as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
Her family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff of Lafayette Family Cancer Institute in Brewer, Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, as well as Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston for their care, compassion, and contribution to the nearly five and a half years that Jocelyn had to spend with her family during her illness.
Family and friends may visit 5 – 7 PM Monday, March 16, 2026 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, York St., Bangor where a reception will be immediately afterward. Burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery will be at a late date.
