Nancy “Kay” (Donham) Davis

BANGOR – Nancy Kay (Donham) Davis, 87, died peacefully on December 15, 2023, in Bangor, after a brief illness. She was born in Little Rock, Ark., May 29, 1936, to Thelma (Pittman) Donham Hudson and Jack B. Donham. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Charles William “Bill” Davis and her brother James Robert Donham.

Kay graduated from Little Rock Senior High School and attended Little Rock Junior College. She and Bill were married for 41 years. Everywhere they lived, Kay volunteered extensively at churches by teaching, managing church libraries, and planning and decorating for events, all in service to the faith that was at the center of her life. A talented craftswoman, she loved to make decorative items, including quilts.

She is survived by daughter Stephanie, grandchildren Daniel and Leia, a sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and their families, and many friends in Virginia, Maine, and Texas. Special thanks to the nurses and CNAs of St. Joseph Hospital’s Cardio-Pulmonary Care Unit, to Dr. Chadwick Szylvian and Christy Merrithew, and to Dr. Jims Jean-Jacques for their compassion and professionalism.

Arrangements for services have not been made at this time. Messages and memories may be shared here on the tribute wall.
