Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Robert Arthur Cust, 89, husband of Louise M. (Norris) Cust passed away peacefully on January 30, 2024 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Bangor to Arthur and Gertrude (White) Cust on May 6, 1934, graduating from Bangor High School in 1952 and University of Maine in 1958.

Bob and Louise owned and operated the Walk Shop in Bangor for many years and made Orrington their home. He was an avid vegetable gardener, scuba diver, trout fisherman and hunter, canoeing the waters of northern Maine and spending hunting season at camp in Dixmont. He enjoyed hiking and camping with his family and friends on inland trails, as well as on islands off the shores of MDI and Deer Isle. In the winter, Culebra, Puerto Rico was a favorite getaway for he and Louise and many other family members. Bob was devoted to his family. He was also devoted to his church family and he served in spiritual and practical ways to honor God.

Surviving him, in addition to his wife Louise are their children, Jean Healy, and her husband, Sean of Spring City, Pennsylvania and James Cust and his wife, Robin of Deer Isle; six grandchildren, Ian Cust and Garrett, Laina, Erin, Brenna and Owen Healy.
