Dear Davia and kin, I'm very sorry for your loss of Paul. It's been so nice to read so many wonderful things about him and learn about his passions and penchant for pie. Pie was always such a ritual at dinner in Millbrook. When I was quite young I remember sitting at the long table in Thomas and Virginia's house and Paul would come in at the end of his farm workday and sit at the table; rarely saying any words. One evening after seeing him for a week I asked my mom, who is that guy who comes in smelling like cows and eats dinner with us? It was Paul. His stop in Milwaukee with John was such a delight many years later. Love to you, Mel

Mrs. Knowlton I am so sorry for your loss. Paul has been coming in at 5:15am most Sundays for years to buy you bagels. I know sunflower and rye are your favorites as is our Hungarian cream cheese. I thought it was so cute when he would call you and ask what you wanted.
It took me several months to get him to chat with me. Guess what I finally said to him that got him interested in a conversation with me? I told him I had 5 cats!!! After that, he started talking!
He always asked "how's business?", and upon leaving would say "see you later kiddo".
I missed him last Sunday and will continue to miss him for many to come.
With love, Sonya Eldridge (Bagel Central)

So sorry to hear about Paul's passing. I met PK many years ago on a life flight call, they had to much fuel and was not able to load the pt on the helicopter. PK made the choice to come on board our ambulance so we would not have to delay transport time and still give the pt the best care possible. He was a amazing paramedic and a very compassionate individual. Keeping his family and friends in my thoughts and prayers.

To the Knowlton family I am so sorry to hear about the loss of PK. He was my first supervisor at Capital and I learned so much from him. Mostly that I won't be getting out on time and how to drum on a steering wheel. He will be greatly missed.

"There has been a break in the force"
A loss of such magnitude for his family I am sure.
The world has been a better place because of his having spent time with us, and will continue to be a better place because of those he mentored, as well as those for whom he tended to in his work.
