BREWER - Francis "Peter" Brooks, 70, passed away January 9, 2017, surrounded by family at his home in Brewer after a long battle with Dystonia and kidney disease. He was born February 26, 1946, in Brewer, son of Francis and Phyllis Brooks.

He grew up in South Brewer attended St. Teresa's Catholic School and John Bapst High School, class of 1964. Peter proudly served his country with the U.S. Army. He worked for Digital Equipment Company (Hewett Packard), where he developed 2 pattens under his name.

Peter was predeceased by his parents; and brother, Donald Brooks. He is survived by his brother, Richard Brooks and his wife, Roseann, of Orrington; his sister, Phyllis Peck and her husband, John, of Harwichport, Mass.; sister-in-law, Charlene Brooks of Clifton; many nieces and nephews.
