Fern P. Morneault

Bangor - Fern P. Morneault, 90, died on August 4, 2017.  She passed peacefully in her home after a life long struggle with Muscular Dystrophy. She was born December 18, 1926 in Daigle, Maine, daughter of William and Modeste (Daigle) Pelletier. Fern was a teacher and was a member of the Maine Teachers Association.

She is survived by a daughter, Virginia Vanier and husband, Gregory Cyr, a step son, Henry Morneault and wife Patti Morneault, three grandchildren, three step grandchildren and four cherished great grandchildren; also three brothers, Edmund Pelletier of Daigle, Maurice Pelletier of Fort Kent, and Philip Pelletier of Bangor along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Eldon Vanier in 1955, her second husband, Angelo Morneault in 2005, three brothers Harold, Raymond, and Gerald Pelletier.

            At her request there will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11AM Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York St., Bangor. A time of friendship and refreshments will be immediately afterward in the church center and burial at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery in Madawaska will be held at a later date. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Parish, 207 York St., Bangor, ME 04401 or to a charity of choice.
