Obituary of Laura J. Lentovich

Please share a memory of Laura to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Laura Jane Lentovich, 34, died unexpectedly Sept. 15, 2017 at her home in Bangor. She was born Oct. 6, 1982 in Bangor, the daughter of Keith Lentovich and Ramona (Herrick) Lentovich Boldsen.

Laura graduated from Washington Academy in East Machias and attended the Univ. of Maine, Presque Isle and worked in social and mental health services for several years. She had currently been working as a direct support professional for Volunteers of America in Bangor. Laura was a vibrant, happy individual who loved animals, put a smile on many faces and brought joy to all. She loved music. She  had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing to her nephews who lived near her. Karaoke was also a favorite pastime. She will be deeply missed.

Surviving in addition to her parents, Ramona Boldsen and her husband, Steen of East Machias and her father, Keith Lentovich also of East Machias, are two sisters, her twin, Lydia Cooley and her husband, Erik of Hampden and Susanna Sowerby and her husband, Max of Corpus Christi, TX; nieces, Gillian and Maggie Sowerby of Corpus Christi, TX and nephews Joshua and Jonathan Cooley of Hampden; former husband and friend, Jason Woods of Delray Beach, FL;  uncles, Gregg Buckland and his wife, Pam of Detroit and John Guay of Corinna; also surviving are many cousins including Mandy Buckland who was like a little sister.  She leaves many friends. Two other uncles,  Bud and Jimmy, and her Auntie Alice predeceased her.

A service honoring Laura’s life will be held 12 noon Friday, Sept. 22, 2017 Kiley & Foley Funeral Services, 299 Union Street, Bangor, where family and friends may visit from 10 AM until the service begins. Laura would not want everyone to come dressed  in black, so if you are comfortable with wearing bright, happy colors, please do so. (Her favorite color was pink!) Burial will be afterward at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor. For those who wish, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Volunteers of America, 14 Maine St., Suite 301, Brunswick, ME  04011 or www.voanne.org or to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 B Mt.
