Obituary of Terrance J. Toole, Sr.
Terrance J. Toole, Sr., 77, husband of Carlene G. (Davis) Toole, died Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 2017 in Bangor. He was born Feb. 27, 1940 in Bangor, the son of James A. and Regina M. (Ring) Toole. Terrance was a 1958 graduate of John Bapst High School and enlisted in the US Army after graduation serving six years as a combat engineer. He worked for the Bangor Police Department for one year and retired from the US Postal Service after 28 years of service. During retirement, he delivered flowers for Johnson’s Florist for 20 years and worked at the Armstrong Tennis Center for 23 years. Some of his enjoyments included going to auctions and buying and selling antiques as well as attending his grandchildren's sporting events and dance recitals. Terrance loved his New York Giants, New York Yankees, Notre Dame and he was a proud Irishman.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 59 years of Bangor are his four children, Terrance, Jr, Micheal, Christopher and Barbara Meserve and her husband, Todd; grandchildren, TJ, Alex, Riley, Nick, Jon, McKenzie, Satchel and Lucas; several nieces, nephews and cousins; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, mac and Carole McGinn and a special friend, Pete Day. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers, Robert and James and a sister, Ellen Toole Dionne.
Family and friends may visit 2 -4 PM Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Monday at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ohio St., Bangor. Burial with military honors will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor.
