Kirk L. Davis

Bucksport – Kirk L. Davis, 64, died unexpectedly Dec. 4, 2017 at his home in Bucksport. He was born Oct. 22, 1953 in Chandler, AZ, the son of Harold and Theresa Elnora (Meredith) Davis. Kirk served six years with the US Air Force and was a longtime resident of Bucksport and worked for Verso for 30 years until the mill closing in recent years. He was also a self-employed carpenter for many years. Kirk was a very generous person, always willing to help anyone in need. He was also a practical joker.

Surviving are his two children, Jessica Orcutt and her husband, Kyle of Orland and Todd Davis and his wife, Alycia of Brewer; 7 grandchildren, Sebastian Beaulieu of Windham, Cameron, Lacy and Caleb Orcutt of Orland and Cody, Isaac and Annabelle Davis of Brewer; his 11 siblings, Roger, Christine, Steve, Tim, Vicki, Tommy, D’Arcy, Michael, Catherine, Karen and Keith; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Linda and Bev. Kirk was predeceased by his parents, a daughter, Robin Davis in June 2017 and by a son, Scott Davis; four siblings, Arthur, Coleen, Phillip and Kevin.

Family and friends may visit 9 to 11 AM Monday, Dec. 11, 2017 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor where a service honoring his life will be held at 11 AM Monday as the visitation concludes with Rev. Peter Remick, presiding. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Bucksport. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
