Obituary of Jerald F. McKenney

Bangor — Jerald F. “Jeff” McKenney, 75, passed away January 5, 2018, at a Bangor healthcare facility.  He was born in Dover-Foxcroft on August 16, 1942, the son of Henry and Marjorie McKenney.

Jeff attended Brewer High School.  He worked construction for many years and was a member of the Massachusetts Labor Union (Local 1377) and worked out of the Brewer, Maine office.  He was a member of the Brewer Eagles Club and the Bangor Elks Club. Jeff loved to fish, he loved sports and followed the New England teams. He loved playing cards and was fascinated by watches, clocks and other time pieces.

Jeff was predeceased by his parents, Marjorie and Henry McKenney, his wife Linda McKenney, sisters Dolly Rankin and Diana McKenney, and his brother Freddie McKenney.  He is survived by his five children, Tami Bragg and husband Keith, Karen Bradbury and husband Chad, Diana Karagiannes and husband John, Kelly Fergola and husband Victor, Elizabeth O’Donnell and husband Bobby, his siblings, Dee Anderson-Rey and husband Ed, Sandi “Cookie” Phillips, and Brenda McKenney, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He will also be sadly missed by close friends and cousins, Barbara and Gary Nadeau and Shirley Dow, and his close friend Michael McGinn.

Family and friends are invited to visit 12 PM to 1 PM on Friday, January 12, 2018, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer where a service honoring Jeff’s life will be held at 1 PM., immediately followed by a celebration of life with fellowship and refreshments to be held at the Bangor Elks Lodge in the "small room" located at 108 Odlin Road, Bangor.
