Obituary of Charlotte R. Cantrell

Eddington--Charlotte Rachel Grant (Cantrell), 86, quietly passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018. Charlotte, the youngest of four children and only daughter to Olive Grace Hoyt and James Emerson Dean, was born on March 12, 1931, in Easton, ME. Charlotte grew up in Orono and Brewer, graduating from Brewer High School in 1949. Charlotte was married to Lawrence (Lonnie) F. Grant. She and Lonnie were longtime residents of Eddington and very active in the community, owning Grant's Trash Removal, Eddington Filling Station, Grant's Tourist Home and DeMelTe Gift Shop. Charlotte resided for a short time in Mary Esther, FL, and Greenville, SC, before returning to Maine to be with her family. In addition to being a loving mom, Charlotte claimed nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren as her own. Charlotte is predeceased by her parents; first husband Lawrence Grant; second husband Robert Cantrell; brothers Vaughn Dean, Carroll Dean and Valworth Dean; son in-law Joseph T. Bucci. Charlotte is survived by daughters Deborah Grant True and husband Calvin Edward True, Melodye Grant Bucci and partner Tucker William Reynolds, Terry Jean Grant and wife Sally Angela Harrison; grandchildren Chad Campbell and wife Rebekah, Conor Campbell and partner Victoria Roth, Colin Campbell and partner Kayla McGrath, Myles Acton Harrison, Madison Grant Harrison, Monroe Grant Harrison, Adam True and wife Erica, Seth True and partner Teri Allen, Jared True and wife Stephanie; great-grandchildren Kalyx Campbell, Alexander True, Nathan True. Charlotte leaves behind a legacy of love and will be sorely missed by both family and friends. Family and friends are invited to visit 1-2 PM Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer. A memorial service honoring Charlotte's life will be held at 2 PM.
