Orland & Largo, FL—Gary Owen Soper, 76, passed away March 24, 2018, in Florida following a brief illness. He was born January 6, 1942, in Waltham, MA, the son of Keith and Vera (Uhlin) Soper.

 

Gary graduated from Bucksport High School, Class of 1960. He went on to serve four years in the United States Navy. He worked in banking in Bangor, Maine until his retirement in 2004. Since his retirement, he and his wife have been residents of Largo, FL.

 

He was predeceased by his parents and brother Neal Soper. Gary is survived by wife Donna (Bowden) Soper; step-children James Fahey, Jr., Julie Hatch, Gail Ledford, Annette McCoy, Jennifer Jamison; sisters Ingrid Swenson and Kristina Quigley; niece Olivia Quigley; nephew Bjorn Swenson; special cousin Jeannine Peters. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to special niece Marnell Wheeler for her comfort and support.

 

Family and friends are invited to visit 10-11 AM, Monday, July 9, 2018, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor.  A service will be held at 11 AM, followed by burial at Oak Hill Cemetery, Winterport.
