I just can’t belive he is gone! I’ve been looking st this for days just hoping this was a big bad horrible nightmare! Words can’t express the great deal of pain that I feel and I’m sure lots of others do to! I’ve know Dwayne for almost 20 years and he has always been there when I truly needed him! My sick daughter had a special place in his heart and I will do my best to make sure she never forgets him, and his loud and joyful personality! My deepest sympathy goes out to his family I know throughout the past years your family has been through enough, extremely unfortunate this has happened! Dwayne I love you and I always will! I'm so sorry. Duane will be greatly missed. I went to school with him he always made people laugh and he was so nice to everyone. I would run into him once every couple of years and we always caught up on our lives. I will miss that most definitely.

Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your loved one, Duane. May you find comfort in the words written at Acts 24:15, where God promises to bring back to life those we have lost in death by means of a resurrection. In the near future He will also eliminate our enemy, death. (Revelation 21:4) This gives us the wonderful hope of being reunited with our loved ones, forever. Ever since we met in college we were always hanging out ...over a decade we have become family always there for each other... Duane, I"m not sure were to start but we"'ve all lost a very caring loving man. You were like a son. Thank you for loving my daughters and always being there for them even to this day. I was hoping I would have gotten to see you but after many years we talked on the phone. You were a very intelligent man but never gave yourself enough credit. You have left this world behind with many broken hearts but many many happy memories. There's not enough good I can say about you you made sure everyone around you was taken care of and happy. I have no idea where to begin,My first love!! We learned so much from each other. We learned to love and love deep and to hear you say you loved me just last Tuesday I can still hear your voice in my head. You just reached out,after 10 years,it was as if Heaven had a spot waiting! My heart is broken for your family and friends. You played such a crucial part in so many lives I'm not sure you grasped that. That smile,the reason I so quickly fell in love with YOU not what you had or what you had to offer just you,Duane Roy McCarter. We did so much together,so many concerts, trips, our first home as real adults.our first fur baby Sasha who I'm sure is with you now, because she certianly was a daddies girl to buying our first cars together. You giving in and taking me to my senior prom even though you hated things like that boy you looked so handsome in that tux. You made every night a night to remember. I've got 8 years of stories, 8 years of love,not perfection but pure undoubtedly love! I'm in such shock, struggling for answers I will never get. Thank you Duane,thank you for loving me for 8 years,thank you for loving my family and taking Michelle in as your own little sister! Thank you for loving my mother as your own,Lord knows she loves and misses you! Thank you for the life lessons and many many nights of just laying in bed talking! You will always be in my heart and my soul. I'm so glad I got those couple hours a couple days before this tragedy or I don't know how I'd deal with this.

Duane, it's weird to think that you are no longer with us on his Earth. It's crazy how you can go from seeing someone almost everyday, to seeing them here and there, to finding out this tragedy has happened. I wish every opportunity I had to check in on you, I did. I regret not igniting those conversations. You were like family to us, you watched us all grow up and change. I'm going to miss your goofy personality. Duane you were such a huge part of my younger years. You were not just my sister's first love you were the big brother I'd never had. You always had advise for me growing up. I cherished our evenings sitting upstairs at night talking and laughing, just the three of us. And Sasha of course. As the years went by it was still nice to catch up here and there.
