Obituary of Charlene R. Thibodeau
Charlene Roberts Thibodeau, 89, passed away peacefully at her home on October 9, 2018. Born in Brownville Junction, Maine to George and Ena (Ryder) Roberts, she was a 1947 graduate of Brownville Junction High School. Charlene graduated from Husson College where she was active in basketball and sorority. She was a dental assistant for 30 years for Dr. Howard Kominsky of Bangor. During that time, she was president of Penobscot Valley Dental Assistants Association. In 1951, she married Raymond L. Thibodeau and they had 64 happy years together spending summers at her favorite place on Schoodic Lake. She loved to tend her garden and knit for family and friends.
Charlene was predeceased by her husband, Raymond, in 2015. She is survived by her son, Robert, and wife, Darlene of Brownville; a granddaughter, Melissa Thibodeau of Bangor; sisters, Priscilla Chapman of Holden and Marilyn Delmage of Lake Luzerne, NY; many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Mary Florence Wilson of Bangor.
At Charlene’s request, a private graveside service and burial will be held at Pine Tree Cemetery, Brownville Junction. Arrangements trusted to Kiley & Foley Funeral Servcie, 299 Union St., Bangor and messages and memories may be shared with her family at kileyandfoley.com.
