Obituary of Herbert Carroll Savage

Eddington & Enfield--Herbert “Herbie” Carroll Savage, 65, passed away May 24, 2019, at his home in Eddington.  He was born April 17, 1954.

 

Herbie loved the Wizard of Oz, country music, and playing ball.

 

He was predeceased by father Fredrick Savage and buddy Chris.  Herbie is survived by stepmother Martha Savage of Enfield; sisters Madeline Merrithew (who was his guardian angel), Nany Hoag, Anna Mushero; brothers Frederick, Everett, Mark, John, William, Michael Savage; several nieces and nephews, including special niece Robin Sibley of Enfield; special friend John Harding, whom he enjoyed spending time with; workers Crystal Hewey, Susan Joy, Annette Hogan, Jay Russell, Tonya Deleaney, James Nickerson, and everyone at Common Sense Housing.

 

The family would like to thank Common Sense Housing for the support and exceptional care they provided to Herbie.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Penobscot Area Special Olympics, PO Box 65, Bradley, ME  04411.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held 11 AM, Saturday, June 29, 2019, at the American Legion, 75 South Water St., Old Town.  Burial will take place at Dodlin Cemetery, Dodlin Rd., Enfield, at a later date.  Messages and memories may be shared with the family at kileyandfoley.com
