Bangor & Hermon – Norma G. MacDonald, 92, wife of the late Leon “MAC” MacDonald, died June 26, 2019 in Bangor, at St. Joseph Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born Nov. 27, 1926 in Prospect, the daughter of Charles H. and Nellie L. (Welch) Carr.  Norma was a loving Mother, “Nana” grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed being with her family, weekly visits from her sons and telephone conversations with her sister, enjoying Linda’s cooking, looking at the animals in the backyard, and watching tv.

Surviving are her three children, David L. MacDonald of Bangor, Bruce W. MacDonald of Bangor and Linda K. Foster and her husband, Gary of Hermon; three grandchildren, Laurie MacDonald Baughman of Eddington, Christi MacDonald of Bangor and Kellie Melland of Bangor; one great granddaughter, Kora Melland of Bangor; her very special sister Barbara Hilliard of Columbus, OH, her children Brenda, James, & MaryAnne, her sister Mary Morin of Waterville; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband and two much loved daughters-in-laws, Patricia A. MacDonald and Brenda S. MacDonald.

With Norma’s love for animals especially her golden retriever Abby, for those who wish memorial contributions may be made to Bangor Human Society, 693 Mt. Hope Ave, Bangor, ME  04401 if desired.  Private burial will be at her family lot in Snows Corner Cemetery, Hermon. Arrangements by Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure; you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. It’s hard to forget someone who gave us so much to remember!
