Elizabeth Jordan

Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Jordan

Elizabeth A. Jordan, 68, beloved wife of Richard C. “Junior” Jordan, Jr., passed away peacefully Dec. 28, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 2, 1951 in Bangor, the daughter of Raymond E. and Joan C. (McNeil) Pullen. Liz was a graduate of Bangor High School and Eastern Maine Community College and worked as a registered nurse for many years at Easter Maine Medical Center in the cardiac catheterization lab. Liz loved nursing and thrived in the many challenges her profession brought. Every patient was treated with compassion, kindness and great skill. To Liz nursing was not just a job but a vocation. The people who worked with Liz were not her co-workers, they were family and she loved them dearly. It caused her great sadness when her illness made it necessary for her to retire. Liz found pleasure in life’s simple things: gardening, cooking, reading, music or just being at camp. But it was family she called her greatest blessing and spending time with them her greatest joy. The incredible love she shared with her husband of 50 years and the intense pride she felt in her children and grandchildren are a testament to the amazing woman that Liz was. The hole left by her passing is immense but so is the love she shared with us all. May our many wonderful memories of this beautiful soul strengthen us in our sorrow. Surviving in addition to her husband of 50 years of Hampden are two children, Richard “Rick Jordan and his wife, Jodi of Hampden and Scott Jordan of Old Town; two grandchildren, Jessica Jordan of Williamsburg, VA and Sean Jordan of Winterport; one brother, Mike Pullen and his wife, Diane of Holden and two sisters, Amy McCrea and her husband, Marty of Orrington and Denise McCann of Hermon; many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents and by a brother-in-law, Clarence McCann. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM Friday, Jan. 3, 2020 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ohio St., Bangor where a reception will be held immediately afterward in the church center.
