Harvard Corro

Obituary of Harvard R. Corro

Harvard Corro, husband of Carolee (Worcester) Corro, passed away peacefully on Jan. 28, 2020 surrounded by his loving family at the Ellen Leach Home. He was born on Jan. 26, 1931, son of Thomas and Elizabeth (Fraiser). Harvard was born and raised in Lincoln where he met his wife, Carolee and they were married in 1954. His career with MetLife lead them to Brewer in 1968, where they raised their two children, Lee and Kerri. Following his retirement from MetLife, they purchased a small convenience store in Holden. After selling the store, Harvard went to work for Beacon, Cadillac, Oldsmobile and Jeep. He ended his working career with Benji and Francine Grant, at Country Store Antiques. He was a member of the East Orrington Congregational Church, where he served as Deacon for two terms. He loved being involved with his church family. Harvard was a lover of the great outdoors. He enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips with his son Lee and his second family, The Luddens. The biggest joy for Harvard and Carolee was watching their grandchildren grow and enjoying their activities. They were considered everyone’s “Grammie and Grampie” at The Dedham School. Harvard is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Carolee, their son Lee and his wife Rosemary, their daughter Kerri and her husband Joe Lynch, all of Dedham, Grandsons Cameron Lynch and his wife Bry, Zachary Corro and Caleb Lynch, Great Grandsons Owen, Drew and Jack Lynch, and his sister Geraldine and her husband Ronnie Crocker of Lee. He was predeceased by his beautiful granddaughter, Lindsay Corro, his brother Wilbert Corro, Sister Carolyn Ciarrochi and brother-in-law Donnie Worcester. Harvard will be sadly missed by several dear friends and many nieces and nephews. Harvard’s family gratefully thanks Janice, Dylan and Kim of Norther Light Hospice for their wonderful care and kindness. A service honoring Harvard’s life will be held 10 AM Friday, January 31, 2020 at the East Orrington Congregational Church, 38 Johnson Mill Road, Orrington with Rev. Carl Schreiber, pastor, presiding.
