Obituary of Annette Marie Reed

Bangor--Annette Reed, 62, passed away peacefully March 17, 2019, surrounded by her loving family, after battling with respiratory complications. 

 

Annette was born and raised in Dover-Foxcroft and was one of seven children to the late Eugene and Grace (Leavitt) Nicholas. She loved all her family and friends more than anything.  Her family was everything to her.  She loved her frequent visits from her grandson Nicholas Reed, who would lay with her in bed and read or just talk.  She enjoyed going to church when she was able and listening to programs to enhance her understanding of her faith.

 

She was predeceased by her parents; sister Wanda (Nicholas) Mitchell; uncle John Leavitt; in-laws James W. Reed, Sr., and Annie Reed.  Annette is survived by her husband of 44 years James W. Reed, Jr.; children Christopher Reed and wife Jen, Andrea Appleton and husband JP, Andrew Reed and partner Quang Ha; amazing grandkids Brandon Appleton, Ryan Appleton and Nicholas Reed; brothers Eugene Nicholas, David Nicholas and wife Lauri, Steve Nicholas, Paul Nicholas; sister Karen Wheeler; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, brother and sister in laws, and many friends.   

 

As an Army veteran, in lieu of flowers, she would prefer donations be made to the Travis Mills Foundation, 89 Water St. Hallowell, ME  04347.
