Bangor – Rose M. MacNevin, 72, wife of Alvin MacNevin, died March 29, 2020 at her home in Bangor after a long illness. She was born Sept. 20, 1947 in Westbrook, the daughter of Louis Bouchard and Bessie LeBritton of Westbrook and raised by Archie and Hazel Severance of Orono Rose attended schools in Orono and worked for many years in health care as a CNA for both, St Joseph Hospital and for Bangor Area Visiting Nurses. She was compassionate, high spirited, always had an opinion and everything was done at a fast pace. She could be found zooming around in her scooter while taking out anything in her path. Nothing slowed her down! Rose’s favorite times were spent with her family. Whether that be at a big family event where she could play referee or at a sporting or any other event where she could be the biggest cheerleader or celebrating a birthday in which she never missed! She also especially loved her long car rides and her time at the bowling alley with dad (Alvin). Surviving in addition to her husband of Bangor are her children, Michael Roy and his wife, Jennifer of Bangor, Gary Roy and Julie Warner of Bradford, Jeff Roy of Glenburn, Shawn Roy and Renee Fahey of Glenburn, Lynn MacNevin Gray and her husband, Christopher of Orono; stepchildren, Alvin MacNevin, Jr. and his wife, Shelley of Eddington and Shawn MacNevin of Hudson; 21 grandchildren, Brandi Sinclair, Jessica Mertz, Samantha Roy, Jordyn Roy, Garrett Roy, April Kane, Gavin Lemay, Haley Roy, Emma Roy, Michael MacNevin, Vanessa Marsh, Jacob Maynard, Christian Horlieca, Zachary Horlieca, Joshua Horlieca, Heather MacNevin, Mackenzie Roy, Kaitlyn Vincent, Andrew Roy, Kylie Gray, Caden Gray; 12 great grandchildren, Michael, Madison, Logan, Travis, Isabella, Tucker, Ava, Greighson, Colton, Liam, Callen, Aubree and 3 more expected this year; one surviving sister, Gloria Comeau of Anson; nieces and nephews; and her beloved geese, Lucy and Linus! She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Donald, Louis Jr., Mickey, Walter, Doris, Beverly A graveside service will be held 11 AM Thursday, Aug. 13, 2020 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, City Grounds, Mt. Hope Ave., Bangor.
