Obituary of Marie Clapp

Theresa Marie Clapp, 95, wife of the late Philip H. Clapp, died April 11, 2020 in Brewer. She was born Aug. 23, 1924 in Brewer, the daughter of Aldric J. and Annie T. (Kane) Arsenault. She graduated from Beal College and worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Philadelphia early in her career and later in Admissions at St. Joseph Hospital. Marie loved spending time with her family traveling and camping and visiting with family and friends. She also enjoyed baking, sewing, and playing the piano. Surviving are three children, Philip Clapp Jr. of Gastonia, NC, E. Anne Pullen of Bangor and David Clapp of Winchester, MA; five grandchildren, Rachel Clapp, Andrea Beaulieu, Sara Pullen, Todd and Adam Clapp; and four great-grandchildren. Marie was predeceased by her husband, one daughter, Sally Clapp and by two brothers, Robert and Thomas Arsenault. A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor where Marie will be buried with her husband.
