Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bangor - Linda Jean Cameron, 67, passed away on May 28, 2020, after a year-long battle with cancer. She was born May 13, 1953, in Bangor. Linda enjoyed cooking, fishing, the beach, bingo, and going to stock car races. She took great pleasure in arts and crafts and loved painting ceramics. She also spent many hours scrapbooking with her daughter and sister. Linda was an avid reader, who could usually be found with a book or her Kindle in hand. When her children were growing up, Linda was an Avon representative. Every other weekend she and her children would go around Bangor delivering books to her customers. This was something that she and her children loved to do together. She excelled at sales and earned many awards and trips for her hard work. However, it was the connection that she made with people and the friendships that she gained that made her love her job so much. Over the past 30 years Linda dedicated her life to working with people with intellectual disabilities and autism. Most of her career was spent working for MERT Enterprises Inc., which she considered as her second family. She enjoyed volunteering, coaching and cheering passionately for the athletes at Special Olympics. She is predeceased by parents George Sr. and Muriel Wescott. Linda is survived by daughter Christine Terrill and husband Daniel, and their son Jaxon; son Alan Stormann and wife Marabeth, and their sons Max and Dane; brother George Wescott Jr. and wife Sharon, and their son George IV; brother Stephen Wescott, and his children Stephen Jr., Shawn and Melissa; brother Russell Wescott; sister Cheryl Wescott. The family requests that donations in lieu of flowers be made to Penobscot Area Special Olympics, P.O. Box 65, Bradley, ME 04411. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
