Brewer – Lee Kenneth Gordon, 48, died July 16, 2020 in Bangor. He was born Nov. 10, 1971 in Rhinebeck, New York, the son of Leroy and Judy (Schaffer) Gordon. He attended schools in Hyde Park, NY until the age of 7 when the family moved to his father’s home state of Maine. He attended schools in Brewer and was a first class mechanic, tow truck operator and service manager for Sears and for Dodge. Lee loved to race dirt bikes and stock cars winning five events at Speedway 95 but later had to give up racing due to a back injury. He loved animals and always had a dog and some cats. Lee enjoyed life and, as the Frank Sinatra songs says, “I did it my way.” Lee is survived by his mother, Judy Gordon of Brewer and by his brother-in-law, Dana Laughlin of Carmel; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father in 2009 and by three sisters, Judy Anne Hart in 1993, Philomena Gordon in 2015 and by Nancy Lee Laughlin in 2015. A graveside service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Woodlawn Cemetery, North Main St., Brewer. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt.
