Obituary of Kevin Robert Clarke, Sr.
Dedham - Kevin Robert Clarke Sr., 78, of Port Saint Lucie, FL (formerly of Edison, NJ) died unexpectedly Thursday, August 20, 2020. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, he lived in Edison, NJ, Manteo, NC and finally moved to Port Saint Lucie, FL 19 years ago. He retired from the Edison Police Department at the rank of Lieutenant.
Kevin was a loving, grounded, and humble man who adored his family. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and staying active with longtime friends. His favorite things were coffee and cookies, and he often shared the latter with his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time on the lake in Maine during the summer with his wife, family, and dog, Copper. He was a proud husband, father, grandparent (pépère), and dog dad. He will be remembered most for his strong character and integrity, which has had a lasting and positive impact on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Our hope is that he is riding in his coveted split-window maroon Corvette in Heaven.
He was predeceased by his father William Patrick Clarke and mother Ella Marie Herrmann.
Loved dearly by survivors including his wife, Donna Caron Clarke of Port Saint Lucie, FL; brothers Bern Crowl and his wife Kathy of Richmond, VA, Bill Clarke and his wife Carol of Medway, MA, and Kerry Clarke, Forked River, NJ; son Kevin Clarke Jr., his wife Tammi and their two children – Kody and Stephanie - of Fortson, GA; son Scott Clarke, Whitman, MA; stepson Brandon Fell and his son Bentley; stepdaughter Shannon Fell, all of Holden, ME; and a host of dear friends.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
