Obituary of Brent E. Merritt

Brent E. Merritt, 62, husband of the late Melody A. Merritt died peacefully at his home on Oct. 6, 2020. He was born June 20, 1958 in Houlton, the son of Donald and Joyce (Carroll) Merritt.
Brent loved spending time with his family and loved to be outdoors working in the garage. He is survived by and will be missed by his six children, Corey Merritt and his partner, Lillian Frager of Glenburn, Justin Merritt and Jessica Merritt both of Glenburn, Joshua Merritt and his wife, Amber Merritt of Brewer, Jeremy Merritt of Arizona and Joseph Cole of Connecticut; his granddaughters, Payton of Glenburn, Jade and Aurora both of Brewer; two brothers, Brad and his wife, Yun of California and James and his wife, Shelly of Linneus; one sister, Audrey of Lewiston; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Brent was predeceased by his parents.
Brent’s family is planning a private service and will personally invite family and friends due to continued state restrictions and they gratefully thank everybody for their understanding, thoughts and condolences.
