Hello, Susan.
When I walked into the Governors in Stillwater this morning(Sunday), Kate waited on me and told me that Gary had died earlier this past week in a work accident. I was shocked and immediately felt a sense of loss - for me, but much more strongly for you and all your extended family. His easy discussions and "revelations" of his own life understanding and "faith" were a gift to me as was every conversation we had when you were with him I will send on a longer note via snail mail. As I swung onto 95 at the Stillwater exit after breakfast, the light rain created a full rainbow that is pictured here(click on it to enlarge it) that I couldn't help but think of as "Gary's rainbow." I took this picture with tears running down my face, and got back into the car to head north to East Millinocket with both tears and a smile. Prayers and peace for you and your extended family.
