Obituary of John David Dedrick, III
John D. Dedrick III, 58, died Feb. 11, 2021 in Bangor after a period of declining health. He was born Oct. 24, 1962 in Freeport, NY, the son of John D. Dedrick, II and Pamela W. (Janes) Dedrick.
John grew up on Margate, Florida and later moved to Bangor, Maine. He worked as a mechanic for many years and loved to work on cars, motorcycles and hovercrafts. Some of his other enjoyments included building model and remote control airplanes that he flew with his father and he enjoyed watching the History Channel.
John is survived by his sister, Terry-Anne Dedrick; a niece, Desirae Schaaff; nephews, Michael Dedrick-Dwyer and Daniel Dedrick-Dwyer; his daughter, Heather Larussa of Coral Springs, FL and four grandchildren, Miseal, Sophia, Mason, Logan; aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his parents and by a younger brother, Glenn.
A memorial service to honor John's wishes and his life will be held at sea aboard the Mary III, Wednesday evening, June 2, 2021. Those attending are asked to meet at the dock by 5:15 PM, Fishing Headquarters, 301 Seabreeze Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL.
