Obituary of Meryle Harry Cronkhite
Winter Haven, FL and Bangor, ME--Meryle H. Cronkhite, 87, passed away February 9, 2021, at Winter Haven Hospital after a brief illness. Meryle was born September 30, 1933, in Bangor, the son of Meryle H and Ruth (Lasan) Cronkhite.
Meryle grew up in Bangor, attended Bangor High School and the University of Maine School of Engineering, graduating in 1956. After serving briefly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, he worked for IBM for 35 years, retiring in 1991.
Meryle is survived by his wife of 35 years, Leota (Mullen); daughter Valerie of New York, NY; son Van of Lakeland, FL; daughter Debbie Mattson of MN; stepdaughters Lisa (Perry) Abbott and husband Patrick, and Elizabeth (Perry) Saludez and husband Adonis; step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 10 AM, Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor. All are invited to attend.
