Obituary of Ronald Schlipstein
Ronald Schlipstein, 73, husband of the late Deborah A. Schlipstein, passed away May 17, 2021 in Boston after a two-year period of declining health. He was born May 28, 1947 in Bronx, New York, the son of Maynard and Mary (Tanchefsky) Schlipstein. Ronald served 23 years with the Air Force and lived in the Bangor-Brewer area most of his life after his military service. After retiring he worked various jobs and decided to further his education. He earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1997. Ronald worked several years for the US Postal Service at the Eastern Maine Processing & Distribution Facility in Hampden, Maine before he retired. He enjoyed time with his family and the many trips he was able to take with them. He especially enjoyed cruising the Caribbean islands.
Surviving are his five children, Sherry Wright and her husband Wayne of Bangor, Michelle Bladen of Oakland, Jason Schlipstein and his wife Heather of Corinth, Michael Schlipstein of Brewer, and Steven Schlipstein of Brewer; 8 grandchildren, Joshua Blaine, Jefferey Blaine, Brandon Bladen, Justin Schlipstein, Mikayla Gonzalez, Nicholas Schlipstein, Matteo Gonzalez and Brady Schlipstein and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Alvin Slipstein, Philip Schlipstein, Shelley Farina and Harry Schlipstein.
Friends may visit 4 – 6 PM Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer. A graveside committal service and burial with military honors will held 10 AM Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Bangor Humane Society 693 Mt. Hope Avenue, Bangor, ME 04401.
