Obituary of Orman David Fowler

Please share a memory of Orman to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Howland--Rev. Orman D. Fowler went home to be with the Lord on August 20, 2021, after a battle with the Delta Variant COVID Virus at EMMC.  Orman was born May 8, 1940, one of 15 children of Ansil and Ethel Fowler of Greenbush.

Orman loved the Lord, singing, worshipping, and preaching his word.  Being very much a people person, no one was ever a stranger to him.  He always enjoyed telling others about Jesus.  Even though he preached for the Lord for many years, and was up in age, he decided to get his Ministerial License and became Pastor of the Milo Pentecostal Church, where he and his wife served for five years.

He held many jobs through his lifetime, but none he enjoyed more than his supervisory position for 30 years at the University of Maine, retiring in 1994.  Orman was an avid hunter and fisherman, especially with his brother Ansil.  He also enjoyed boat fishing with his son Dave.

Orman is survived by his wife Betty; children Cheryl of Bangor, Dave and Linda of Glenburn, Timmy and Debbie of Orneville, Matthew and Kelly of Dedham; grandchildren Sarah, Shannon, Andrea, Christopher, Zachary; great-grandchildren Alexice, Jenna Leann, Jordan, Hailie, Romeo, Maelonnie; great great-grandchild Jace; stepchildren Rick and Daffaine Vincent and family of Sussex, New Brunswick; sister Velma Buxton of Bradley; many nieces, nephews, cousins and step grandchildren; many, many friends, especially Paul Pankey and Jack Benson.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Full Gospel Tabernacle Church, 14 Fleming St., Lincoln, ME  04457.

A graveside service will be held 1 P.M., Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Cardville Cemetery, Cards Ridge Road, Greenbush, with the Rev. Tony Stewart presiding.  The graveside service will be livestreamed on the Facebook page of the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church (CLICK HERE FOR LINK TO FACEBOOK PAGE).  Messages and memories may be shared with the family at kileyandfoley.com
