Obituary of Viola M. St. Pierre
Viola M. (Walker) St. Pierre, 90, passed away Saturday, August, 21, 2021 at home after a recent stroke with her daughter by her side. She was born November 21, 1930, in Allagash to Josephine (Hafford) and Herbert Walker. Her parents divorced when she was a young girl and was raised by her mother and stepfather, Herman Gardiner.
She was attended schools in Fort Fairfield, Fort Kent Normal School and later attended EMCC and obtained her CNA. She met the love of her life, Ronald St. Pierre, and they were married November 7, 1949 at St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield. They raised their family for many years in Limestone, where she was active in the Women’s Auxiliary and was an assistant Brownie Leader. The family relocated to Orrington in the late 60’s. She enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas, Atlantic City and going to Hollywood Casino. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008 and was a breast cancer survivor. Her children and grandchildren were the lights of her life, and she devoted her life to them with her whole heart.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Ronald; her infant daughter, Kathy-Ann; son-in-law, Robert Kee; brothers, Wayman and Olin Walker; and half-sister, Betty. She is survived by her children, Ron St. Pierre and his wife, Brandy, of Veazie; Bonny Sue Coffin and her partner, Peter Grant; and Pamela Kee, all of Bangor; seven grandchildren; Corey Coffin and his wife, Paula, Casey Coffin, Catherine Schureman and her husband, Jamie; Robert Kee, Jennifer Kee and her wife, Kate Smith, Aubri St. Pierre and her husband, Chris Marksberry and Ron St. Pierre; great-grandchildren; Landon and Julianne Kee, James and Aaron Schureman, Margaret and Isabelle Coffin and Shayna Jo Pachucki. She is also survived by a very special “sister”, Kay Shea and special nieces, Debbie Walker, Marie Bragdon and Donna Light and special nephew, Paul St. Pierre; former granddaughters-in-law, Jacklin Kee and Bobbi Coffin; and 9 half-sisters, Carol, Marge, Trudy, Tammy, Joanne, Kimberly, Sharon, Paula and Lori-Ann; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may visit 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PMTuesday after the visitation at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, 425 So. Main St. Brewer. Interment will follow at Mt Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
