Obituary of Barbara Eddie Bowler
Bradford—Barbara Eddie Bowler, 88, passed away surrounded by her loving family August 30, 2021. She was born in Covington, KY, September 5, 1932, the daughter of Norman and Grace (Brown) Meade.
She worked for WVII for many years prior to her retirement. She volunteered for many years with Rape Crisis Center (now Rape Response) answering their hotline and many other tasks. She served on the Board of Directors for Mabel Wadsworth Center when they first opened, providing women’s health. Following her retirement, she and her husband became master gardeners through the Cooperative Extension Service. Barbara loved reading, doing crossword puzzles, gardening, and was an avid quilter. She enjoyed weekly quilting sessions with the Bradford Quilters.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gregory Bowler; daughter Gillian Kirlin and husband Tom of Bradford; grandchildren Garrett Kirlin of Bradford, Konnar Kirlin of Bradford, Zachary Kirlin his wife Catherine of NH; grand-dogs Daisy, Bantacain, Chief, Maple; grand-cat Theo.
