Obituary of Maureen Cushing

GLENBURN and EASTPORT—Maureen Cushing passed away at home in Glenburn September 1, 2021.  She was born in Bangor August 24, 1946, the daughter of Claude and Phyllis Bouchard.

 

Maureen graduated from Shead Memorial High School, Class of 1965.  After graduation, she worked for Guildford Industries in Eastport.  She later moved to Glenburn and became a homemaker, raising her family.  She loved to feed her birds and chipmunks, and take care of her dogs and cats over the years.  Most of all, she loved caring for her granddaughters.  She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, mother, and grandmother. 

 

She was predeceased by her parents; sister Annette Galen; brothers Joseph, Thomas, and Ronald Bouchard.  Maureen is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Martin T. Cushing, Sr.; son Martin T. Cushing, Jr., and fiancé Tammy Clark of Baileyville; daughter Lenise Dean and husband Dustin of Glenburn; granddaughters Victoria Cushing of Bangor and Lauren Dean of Glenburn; brother William Bouchard and wife Paula of Eastport; very special aunt Alice Mason of East Machias; many cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

 

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt. Hope Ave., Bangor, ME  04401.

 

A memorial reception will be held 12-3 P.M. Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Jeff’s Catering, 15 Littlefield Way, Brewer.  Please bring a story or memory to share.  Messages and memories may be shared at kileyandfoley.com
