Obituary of Ellen Andrle Breindel

Ellen Andrle Breindel passed away unexpectedly on March 3, 2022. She was born in Bangor, ME, March 19, 1957, the second eldest daughter of Dr Armand S Andrle and Gloria A (Tiebor) Andrle.

Elle graduated from John Bapst Memorial High School in 1975 and attended the University of Maine at Augusta where she studied Music Performance, majoring in guitar. She spent the majority of her career in the dental profession before retiring.

Elle moved to Blue Hill to be closer to her daughter and the family she loved so dearly.  Ema was an incredibly loving and devoted grandmother, fascinating and engaging her three grandchildren with play and music. They were her greatest pride and joy.

Music was her passion! She was an accomplished guitarist and violinist. She played violin in the Brewer School Orchestras and performed at weddings and other events with her sisters and friends. She played guitar throughout her life and played songs from Girl Scout Camp with her sisters singing together. She volunteered with the New Surry Theatre in several productions and performed in open mic nights and the Blue Hill Farmers Market. She founded and delighted in playing with the Treble Makers Band. While living in Blue Hill, she made lasting friendships with her music family that brought her much happiness.

Elle was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter. She leaves behind her daughter, Elise Schellhase and her husband Louis and grandchildren Ethan, William, and Lucy. She was predeceased by her eldest brother, Richard, and her niece Lindsay Corro. Elle is survived by her brother Thomas A Andrle his wife Candace, sisters  Kathleen Andrle and her husband Paul Gamache, Rosemary A Corro and her husband Lee, Jeanne A. Fuller and her husband Chuck, Louisa Andrle Hess and Anne Marie Andrle; her nieces and nephews: Katelyn, Christina, and Eric Andrle, Zachary Corro, Samuel and Mary Fuller, Aurora and Andrea Hess; and her two great nieces, Heidi and Claire Fuller and beloved uncle, Fred Andrle. She is also survived by her former spouses, Andrew Chasse, the father of her daughter, and Timothy Breindel.

Elle loved life and was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her, and she will be greatly missed.

There will be a celebration of Elle’s life with music and a potluck supper at the Farmhouse Inn on 578 Pleasant St., Blue Hill, ME on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 6:00 PM. Family and friends may visit 4-7 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Bagaduce Music Lending Library and the New Surry Theatre and Performing Arts.
