

Obituary of Herta W. Brown
Bangor – Herta W. Brown, 87, passed peacefully July 15, 2022 in Brewer. She was born June 13, 1935 in Darmstadt, Germany, the daughter of Hans and Else (Lehr) Becker.
Herta grew up in Germany and moved to the United States in 1956. She worked for many years for Emples Knitting Mill. She enjoyed knitting and traveling to Germany to visit her family.
Surviving are four children, Linda Cole and her husband, Paul of Winterport, Jackie Hearn and her husband, David of Lowell, Donna Kosobud and her husband, Paul of Lucerne and Michele Laird and her husband, Stephen of Bangor; seven grandchildren, Bruce, Joey and Daniel Cole, Jamie Thomas, William Kane, Tiffany Rancourt and Ashley Maxwell; eight great grandchildren, Codie, Ryley, Cruz, Cole, Shelby, Austin, Ella and Alex; three brothers, Karl-Heinz, Horst and Freddie Becker and his wife, Inge; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Herta was predeceased by her husband, Jack Brown and by her son, Michael J. Murray. Herta’s family gratefully thanks Shelly Miller, who was dear to mom.
