Obituary of Richard G. Cox
Richard G. Cox, 85, died Aug. 10, 2022 in the Maine wilderness near Matagamon on the east branch of the Penobscot. He was born Jan. 18, 1937 in Bangor, the son of Raymond J. and Ora M. (Roundy) Cox.
Richard graduated from Bangor High School in the mid 1950s and graduate from Husson College. He worked as an accountant for Fox & Ginn Movers for several years.
Richard is survived by his niece, Valerie Gould of southern California and will be remembered by his dear friends and caretakers, Eric Kennedy and Michelle Medling of Carmel and their children, Justin, Joseph and Samuel. He was predeceased by his parents, three siblings, Raymond A. Cox, Marie V. (Cox) Gould and Dale L. Cox.
A graveside service and burial will be held 1:30 PM Friday, Aug. 19, 2022 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Ohio St., Bangor. Arrangements trusted to Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. Messages and memories of Richard may be shared on the tribute wall of kileyandfoley.com.
