Obituary of Anne Marie Chandler

Please share a memory of Anne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

VEAZIE - Anne M. Chandler (LeGasse) died August 22, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born June 6, 1938.

Anne graduated from John Bapst High School, Class of 1957, and worked for many years with Raytheon Technologies. She later worked with Maine Coast Hospital, assisting with fundraising and major capital campaigns for the ICU & Surgical Center and the F. Eugene Dixon, Jr. Emergency Center.

Upon retirement, Anne transitioned from Ellsworth to Veazie Village and enjoyed many years with the residents – celebrating holidays, birthdays and playing cards. Anne loved tending to the gardens and enjoyed the wildlife. She found tremendous joy in the simple things in life - whether it was a chickadee at the feeder or a deer grazing in the field, these were her pure moments of joy and serenity.

Anne was a loyal communicant at St. John’s Catholic Church and was strongly devoted to her faith.  Anne’s gentle soul and humility was beyond measure.

Gifts in her memory may be made to SAFE Program, c/o St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation, PO Box 1638, Bangor, ME  04402.
