Angie, I was so shocked and saddened to see the 2 year notice that your Mom had passed. I did not know. We had some good chats at her work place and lunch at Pat's! She always told me how much she loved my 2nd floor apartment that you rented from me. May her memory never fade. Take care of yourself and those precious children!

Joyce was very significant in my life for a number of reasons. Almost least importantly, she was a very competent and dedicated employee for about 25 years. Never once did she complain about anything. She traveled every day from Corinth to Orono and back regardless of the weather. I could count her sick days or days out due to weather on one hand.
Far more important was the fact that she personally helped me through two divorces and was a motherly stabilizing influence in my sons’ teen lives while I experienced some crazy years.
Joyce was like a mother bear. Her three children were her first order of business each day. She couldn’t begin her work on my clients’ insurance affairs until she was 100% certain that all was well with Steve, Anngela, and Kevin.
One word can describe Joyce. Pride. She was so proud that Anngela excelled as a student earning a full academic scholarship to Thomas College as the Governor’s top student. She was proud of Kevin’s dedication to helping his aging parents constantly. She was proud of Steve and his climb up through his employment opportunities.
Tom was her “rock”. Never did I hear her utter a negative word about her dedicated husband. The only time I ever saw her nervous or a bit rattled was when she had health concerns about Tom. She was worried sick about him with each diagnosis. He was obviously the force that held her together.
I will forever love Joyce for her dedication, sensibility, stabilizing advice, and help raising my sons. Rest in Peace, surely in Heaven.

Our sincere condolences to Tom for the loss of your wife, and to Stephen, Kevin and Anngela for the loss of your Mom. Joyce and I were great friends all through school. We shared some wonderful memories! We were so saddened to hear of her passing.
